About & methodology
This is an unofficial fan site for Monster Hunter Outlanders. Its job is to answer one question quickly: who and what is worth your time and resources right now.
Who runs this site
Outlanders Tier List is an independent fan project run by a single editor. It is not made by, endorsed by or connected to Capcom, TiMi Studio Group, Proxima Beta or Level Infinite. The editor reads the rating sources listed below and the official channels, compares them, and writes every page. Before each update the official website, the official X accounts and the official YouTube channel are checked first, and official information always wins.
How tiers are decided
The game launched worldwide on October 29, 2026 (servers opened at 22:00 UTC on October 28), and nobody has a long-term picture of the meta yet. Each placement reflects how an Adventurer is rated at launch, judged on three things: damage, what they bring to the team, and how many different teams they fit into. Rarity alone does not decide anything.
- When a placement is contested, we use the lower tier. A pick that is only strong in some people's eyes should not be sold to you as a sure thing.
- When there is not enough information to judge, an Adventurer stays unrankeduntil there is more to go on.
- Contested placements are marked with an orange dot on the tier list, and every Adventurer page shows how settled its placement is.
Any change to a tier, and the reason for it, is logged publicly in thetier changelog.
How each page is put together
Every placement starts from the launch-week ratings published by several established guides. We compare them side by side, work out where they agree, and apply the rules above. The write-ups, strengths and weaknesses are written for this site rather than copied. Where the guides disagree on a fact, such as how to get an Adventurer, the page says so.
These rankings are not based on our own in-game testing. What this site adds is the comparison: a single cautious placement, a clear note when opinions are split, and filters that let you narrow the list down by role, weapon and element.
Rankings are reviewed every 7 days. The date at the top of each page shows when it was last checked.
Rating sources
These are the launch-week rankings the tiers are built from. We only use rankings that rate by strength and were updated in launch week (from October 28, 2026). Each counts once. Closed-beta snapshots, pre-launch estimates and reroll-priority lists are left out. Every Adventurer page shows what each source gave that Adventurer.

What the confidence labels mean
- High confidence: the placement is settled.
- Medium confidence: mostly settled, but could still move by one tier.
- Contested: opinions are split; we show the lower tier for now.
Where profile details come from
Each Adventurer's role and weapon is checked against the character page on theofficial website. The official site does not list rarity, element or how to get each Adventurer, so anything that is not confirmed yet is marked "(not officially confirmed)".
What the tiers mean
- S Strong in almost any team and worth building first.
- A Strong, but needs the right team or setup to shine.
- B Usable, with clearly better options available.
- N/R Not ranked yet, usually because there is not enough information to judge.
Not affiliated
This site is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Capcom, TiMi Studio Group, Tencent or Level Infinite. Game names and images belong to their respective owners.
