Why these: each one ranks by strength and was updated in launch week (from October 28, 2026). Each counts once, the majority decides, and a split goes to the lower tier. Closed-beta snapshots, pre-launch estimates and reroll-priority lists are not used. Last checked Oct 30, 2026.

Strengths
- Free for everyone, and never stops being useful
- Can match any monster's elemental weakness
- The only Adventurer who can use the Charge Blade
Weaknesses
- No unique kit of its own
- Gearing several weapons is expensive, so most guides suggest one main weapon and one backup
How to get
Your own character, free from the start
Fated Adventurer is not on the official website's character page yet (not officially confirmed).
The kit, in short
This is the character you create. The official site describes the Fated Adventurer as proficient with multiple weapon types, while every other Adventurer sticks to one. The official beginner guide uses the Long Sword version, which plays as an Assault: fill the Spirit Gauge with Chain Slash, counter with Foresight Slash or Iai Spirit Slash, then spend the gauge on Spirit Thrust.
Summarised from the official description.
The classes
The official beginner guide plays the Fated Adventurer as an Assault with the Long Sword. Each class hunts with its own Buddy: a Palico for Assault, a Rutaco for Disruptor and a Trillan for Support.
Every Adventurer also feeds the squad's shared energy for the Co-Op Skill, which only lands when the whole squad hits the same monster part within a short window.
Teams with Fated Adventurer
- Fire burst (strongest at launch) with Midori, Raya and RyunosukeMidori deals the damage, Raya sets traps and suppresses, Ryunosuke heals, buffs and grants status immunity.
- Dragon pressure with Pyro, Keres and ArkayaPyro and Keres stack Dragon damage, Arkaya’s big shields keep the team safer.
- Thunder with Luka, Luxheart and ArkayaLuka shoots from range, Luxheart dazes and opens weak spots, Arkaya shields.
- Water with Pepper, Ouyang Varen and MadelynRanged damage on flying monsters from Pepper, with Madelyn healing.
- Ice with Rhodes, Pepper and MadelynRhodes stuns, the last two slots flex to the monster’s weakness.
- Safe first clear with Arkaya, Madelyn and any damage dealerA defensive setup for learning a new monster: a Lance anchor, a shielder and a healer.
How to play the Fated Adventurer
- Fully upgrade one weapon before branching out. The flexibility is worth nothing while every weapon is half-built.
- Add a second weapon that covers the first one’s bad matchups, for example a ranged weapon for flying monsters or a shield weapon for monsters that charge a lot.
- In co-op, bring the weapon and element the squad is missing rather than a second copy of the main damage dealer.
- Long Sword and Bow are the easiest starts. Lance is the safest way to learn a hard monster.
- In single-element teams, put the Fated Adventurer on a weapon of that element as the second damage dealer: Fire with Midori, Water with Pepper, Thunder with Luka.
Good matchups: Rathalos, Diablos, Nergigante.
